Hidden Self Lowering Swimming Pools!

Wow! That is the coolest thing I have seen all year! hehe Okay, so it's not even noon on January 1st, but still, this is awesome! Love the James Bond theme music in the video. Nice. Makes me want to get one and make it look like the top of an inactive volcano…

EDIT: Anyone else thinks this pool likes like Portal? I expect to see the guy jump in and then fall out of the sky or something! 😉

Thanks +Kari Tedrick and +Moritz Tolxdorff for the share!

Awesome. I would LOVE to have that. +Scott Cramer I'm sure we could build one!

  3. Scott Cramer says:

+Keith Cramer Umm… I don't think a kiddie pool on a garage door opener lowering into a hand dug hole in your backyard is going to have the same WOW factor. 😉

    NEED, not WANT.

  9. Jessica Ward says:

Love this!! I've sworn off pools due to drowning hazard for kids, but this looks like it could actually be secured properly and safely!

  10. Scott Cramer says:

I grew up around pools and we always had a fence and gate around the pool area. I like that, when not in use, there is no pool with this concept.

  11. Jessica Ward says:

I grew up with gated pools too, but still lost a dog due to drowning– she got over the fence or something. I have never trusted a pool since then. Besides, if there is one thing I know about kids, they are awfully clever when they want something!

  12. Scott Cramer says:

Sorry to hear that +Jessica Ward. I agree kids get more and more clever as each year passes. Our only casualties were a couple squirrels. The only pool we're using now is at the Y. I would trust my daughter around the water, but I would worry about the liability of neighborhood kids.
