Hide Google+ Notification

Dear G+,

It's not you. It's me. When other applications are in the room, I am not paying attention to them because you are always sitting there in the corner, flashing me. When I am with you, I will be with you. But I need a little space. I hope you understand.

My question, which looks like it won't be answered until after 5pm Midwestern time, is which of the Cramer brothers made this mandatory? 🙂

  2. Tom Garske says:

Wow, I really needed this. Because I can't help but click on it when I see it, and need to actually get something done haha.  Thanks!!

  3. Andrew Craig says:

    Lame tbh

  4. Tom Garske says:

Wow, nevermind.  It doesn't work!! It still shows up periodically for me. Lame!! I still like the concept though.

  5. Andrew Craig says:

What works even better is simply not logging in when you have stuff to do…no 3rd party installation necessary lol.

  6. Dean Montague says:

You could just use a little self discipline to not click on the notifications and go about your business? That is what I do. Just sayin.

  7. Roger Murley says:

I just close the tab. Unfortunately, if I need to search for somethng, BAM! Back again.

  8. Scott Cramer says:

+Andrew Craig +Dean Montague I keep Gmail open all the time and work on Google Docs all the time. I would see the notification counter without trying and then it would creep into my brain. I can't work with the television on either. With this plug-in, it's actually pretty refreshing; like someone playing loud music in the apartment next door finally turning it off. 😉

  9. Scott Cramer says:

+Luis Roca It was me! +Keith Cramer is better at ignoring it than I am. We each have our different OCD tendencies. Now I have to start not opening G+ tabs. 😉

  10. James Lamb says:

What? You think celebrity has no price?

  11. Jim Gomes says:

We just need way to keep some notifications as unread, rather than marked all as read if you take a quick peek. This needs to be more like email.

  12. Scott Cramer says:

    +Jim Gomes Exactly!
