Amazing Land-Art Portrait

This installation is named "Wish" and it was masterminded by artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada. There are more pictures at the links and a really cool video showing the artwork from many different angles from the ground up. I marvel at the planning behind implementing an art installation of this magnitude. Truly fantastic!

30,000 pegs, 2,000 tons of soil, 2,000 tons of sand, 11 acres and 1 huge team effort combine to create the largest land-art portrait in the UK and Ireland.

at first i saw a creepy fish and was like "what?" but then i realized…

  2. Warren Kerr says:

The little boat beneath the art is called the Nomadic, it was the boat that was used to ferry people to the Titantic, to the right of the 4 point building is where the Titanic was built.

  3. Scott Cramer says:

+Warren Kerr Thanks! If that was in the articles, I definitely missed it. Makes this an even cooler installation, I think.
