Tyler is an 18-year-old with cancer and limited time. As a way for Tyler to see the world, they created Flat Tyler and asked for people to take pictures of him out and about. I discovered this while I was vacationing with my daughter at Disney World. We did not have a computer or printer but I edited the photo on my phone and we used daughter's tablet for the display.
We carried Ty-Ty, as daughter started calling him, everywhere with us for a day through our travels at Disney. Because of the screen glare, we did not get as many good shots as we would have liked, but rest assured, Ty was out and about at many more scenes than what is shown here.
A note to Tyler, or Ty-Ty, that I hope Dawn can pass along:
Dude, I hope that you get a chance to read this. I want my words to remain upbeat even though I know you are going through what I can not even imagine. We do not know you, but I want you to know that you added another dimension to the trip my daughter and I took to Disney World. Disney is great, but sometimes you can get lost in the selfishness of having fun, or the consumerism of the Mouse taking all of your dollars. You literally came with us everywhere for a day and our appreciation of everything we got to experience was made greater. You facilitated a lot of bonding talks between my daughter and I that we may not have had otherwise. When people who saw us with you and were curious, I told them what I knew about you and I think we passed a greater appreciation to them also, and you know people, they will tell their family and friends. You may not have been physically present, but I hope you get to know the good will and appreciation for the world around us that you passed along. You are in our vacation photos forever more and a part of memories that will last so long as these pictures are passed down from me to daughter to her future family. Thank you and we wish you all of our best.

This was a project done out of love.
My daughter +Nicole Kurkierewicz came up with the idea, she wanted to lift Tyler's spirits and maybe get a few smiles out of him.
She amazes me daily with her compassion and love.
I brought it here because I knew my G+ family was one giant loving heart.
You've all shown me that so many times.
I am not at all surprised that Tyler was embraced by so many loving arms.
