Google remakes Twister Game for 2012

Google Announces 2012 Game Series Launch

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (January 8, 2012) – Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) today announced that it has purchased the rights to Hasbro's classic "Twister" game and will be releasing a new Google branded game titled "Google Circles" later this year. "Circles" will be the first in a line of games Google intends to market under the banner of "Hangout In Real Life" or HIRL. The games will all be themed to promote interaction in both the physical and virtual worlds. Users will be encouraged to interact with each other and "Hangout In Real Life." Google will also promote it's popular Google+ Hangout feature with special instructions included with each game and special hangout features to be released inside Google+ with each launch.

    Let me first admit that I wouldn't mind playing this game. But I wonder a bit. Isn't G+ for adults? Or did that restriction only exist in Beta? I can't imagine a bunch of kids using google plus and its hangouts ( won't allow my teenager to use the webcam ) but this seems to be Google's target audience.
    Regardless, I like it, love the covet art and will probably end up buying one. Thanks for the tag. +Scott Cramer
