+Maddie Cramer and I have about 20 baby guppies in a ten gallon nursery tank. We would have had more but the first batch of babies only gave us seven survivors by the time we got the new tank set up. Do we need a bazillion guppies? Nope. Not at all. If you live close, we'll have big guppies available soon enough. 🙂

So… to date. 55 gallon community tank. 10 gallon nursery tank. 2.5 gallon beta tank. Stand and hood for a 75 gallon tank but no tank. Another 10 gallon tank but no gear. Definitely going to have more set up by end of year, finances willing.

Happy belated birthday to +matthew rappaport, one of the biggest G+ social media cheerleaders I know. From my first days on the plus, he has offered help and support and nothing but friendship and fun! It's been a pleasure these past years, Matt! One day, we'll make that HIRL happen. Mom,

I was going to have more words, but this weekend has been spent with your granddaughter staying up way too late watching too much television and eating not a balanced diet! I know you'd shake your head at me and laugh, telling me to do a little better with bed times and dinners; that we only get one go-round in this life. Then you'd smile and I know you would be proud of the relationship with daughter that I have built. You'd tell me not to worry about writing you while I'm with Maddie, that love is enough; so know this year I am writing while waiting on your granddaughter to get out of the shower before we go see more family. I am sitting in the house I never got a chance to show you or Dad but I know you'd love it, even with all my toys (we call them collectibles now) still sitting around like in my bedroom growing up – just not as messy (well, mostly). I wish I could share that little bro +Keith Cramer and I are still working together and not killing each other and our efforts have paid off in allowing us both to earn the houses and things that we have in our lives. Without you and Dad, we'd never have achieved any of it. I also wish you could see that +Rhonda Britton and I found each other again after so many years and meet the new family that has become a part of my life. Lastly, I wish you could meet the young woman your granddaughter +Maddie Cramer is growing into, sit again side by side with her like in this photo, and share more of your knowledge and love.

My nephew asked me last night if I could edit a few picks for Star Wars day. I only had time to do one; I could have just slapped in cut and paste lightsabers and been done, but that looked way too cheesy. I'm still not completely satisfied but all in all, I don't think it turned out too bad. Since I was having fun playing, I gave him a single and double bladed lightsaber, darkened things up a bit, and added a planet – because why not. Oh, and some lens flares in "honor" of J.J. Abrams. 😉

For the Photoshop gurus, how would you do the lightsaber? I finally had to just call it and be done. Messing around, I tried several techniques I found searching Google. Pretty much, the version I ended up with is a line colored a very light version of the end color and then I played with the glow effect on it. I kept fiddling until I didn't hate it.

Grace Lee Whitney was 85 and died Friday at her home. Early in her career, Ms. Whitney was a singer who opened in clubs for performers including Billie Holliday and Buddy Rich. She appeared in a number of movies and early television shows. But she is best known for her Star Trek character Yeoman Janice Rand.

I have Disney's Robin Hood Complex. Well played, Internet test, well played. This is my favorite classic Disney cartoon. Hang around me long enough and you'll hear me singing/whistling/humming, "Robin Hood and Little John walking through the forest….." or exclaiming "Ooda Lolly!" 😉
