I remember when every Saturday felt like the release of a new Avengers or Superhero movie. The animation was rough and the shows were short, but it was magical to see so many heroes on the screen each week talking and moving. I am a fan of the original with Marvin, Wendy, and Wonderdog too; it was so much more accessible to imagine being in Marvin's shoes than it was to envision myself as one of the alien Wonder Twins in later episodes. These were the days when DC really ruled. Opinions may differ from mine, but they are nowhere close in the Superhero movie race with Marvel. I am feeling nostalgic tonight, but I think if they poured a big bucket of money into a full length feature animated Super Friends, they would totally rule the theaters. Heck, I have not even touched on the awesomeness that was the Legion of Doom in these cartoons! Maybe it's just one man's childhood memories tonight, but I have a feeling there a more of you out there that would be sitting right there in the theater with me.
