I may not be a fan of Verizon, but kudos to whoever they hired for this ad campaign! The Star Wars costumes are fantastic! My favorite is Dad in the Jabba the Hutt costume with baby girl in her papoose as slave Princess Leia (already done that costume; see profile if you are brave).

Poor little AT-AT was not sure about all this "moving" business. He had always patrolled his old house and kept it safe from Rebel scum. Why would the Empire retreat from this base of operations? Had he done something wrong? Surely he must have. He did not expect the Death Star, but Lord Vader did not even send an Imperial Cruiser for transport. Although, perhaps the indignity of a well used yellow Jeep was a cover to protect him against those do-gooder Jedi. Ha! Indeed! This was not the Jeep they were looking for! Some turn-about subterfuge was definitely in order. He settled in and stayed alert during the bumpy trip. He truly did not expect any problems en route once he saw that all the Landspeeders were actually attached to the ground with large rotating rubber donuts. Ludicrous. These people could be defeated by an army of Jawas. It would serve them all right to be dismantled and sold at auction. Suddenly the Jeep turned sharply and he found himself covered by a large synthetic tree wrapped in a plastic yellow covering. He had often seen this camouflage set up at his old home base in the month of December. It would be adorned with beacon lights, he assumed to lead in the indigenous local lifeforms, since brightly decorated tribute would soon appear underneath it. Little AT-AT felt himself lifted from the Jeep, and was ready to fire lasers. Rebel scum would never take him alive! But before discharging Imperial justice unto all around him, he saw before him all the familiar things from his last beloved base. However, they were stacked in the loading bay of an even bigger and grander base! He had done nothing wrong at all! This was a promotion to protect what was surely a very important new Imperial stronghold! As he stood atop the mountain of incoming freight being delivered by more of those landlocked Landspeeders, he vowed to protect and serve vigilantly. Rebel scum beware!

I received my GOT cards (and bonus Sanity stickers and Roc coaster AND plastic card case) from +Tim Clary earlier this week! All for $10. That's like a lunch and a drink, I mean, seriously! Check the pictures for both fronts and backs of the cards, the John Stewart riff on the classic Hope poster, and the worlds best bar doodle (well, okay, that's what I call it) that totally stepped out of a Swamp Thing comic.
I recently got to meet Tim in a +matthew rappaport hangout show and he is the nicest, most easy going, fun to interact with, well groomed facial hair artist that I have ever had the privilege to meet!
Give something original for Christmas this year from a G+ artist like Tim. ANYONE can shop at the mall or one of the bazillion online mega stores. Tell Tim that Scott sent you! He'll more than likely say, "Who?!" but that's just our little thing we do with each other. Really. 😉
