The Blood Demon Kraken Decanter, Octopus Sculpture by Elstwhen. NOT Polymer Clay.

This Kraken was sculpted onto its Decanter using a stone like material that is firmly attached to the glassware. After the sculpting, the Kraken is hand-painted and gloss finished.

This Blood Demon is a Seafire Kraken. Seafires are unique among their species for several reasons. Of course they are as venomous as the Basaltys, and as mean tempered as the Silkys, but they also possess the ability to bio-lumines. Even as tiny plankton they glow and shimmer. This creeper of the deep changes color from vascular blue to purple abyss with the ambient light surrounding it. Seafires are the most troublesome of all Kraken as they seem to have a fondness for "storm riding" as a mode of fast transport, that carries them far from their brood waters and, sometimes, beaching the young ones on some unlucky coastline.

Size: 16 oz capacity, 9 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide.
Weight: 1 lb, 11 oz.

Kraken Color: Black, Iridescent Purple.
The Eyes: are Crimson Crystal.
Barnacles: Black with Meridian Swarovski Crystal Rhinestones

In the midst of all the birthday celebration planning for +Dirk Reul, +Kristi Fahlsing and I went to the movies. Standing in line for some hot buttered popcorn (to go with our smuggled in drinks), we spotted not just a little Reulek Dirk, but a Cupid Dirk at the concessions counter! Then, prior to going into the movies, we heard an all too familiar rumbling! Reuleks on patrol! I jumped into the middle of a large cardboard display for Jack and the Beanstalk while Kristi ducked behind a Monsters University display. I snapped this pic (because I am like a ninja) as the Reuleks went by.

Lived to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIRK REUL!!!

I was minding my own business in the warehouse today (coincidentally in my Doctor Who attire) when I spotted a Reulek lurking in the back storage area. Confidence bolstered by my awesome new t-shirt, I set myself in position to ambush the dastardly Reulek. Breaking the "fourth wall" I whispered to nobody in particular, "Shh! Be vewy, vewy quiet… I'm hunting Reuleks!" Apparently my t-shirt was made by the same company providing casual wear for the Looney Tunes company. As a result of my less than stealthy attack, the Reulek got the drop on me. It was curtains for certain until, suddenly, I had an idea! Jumping to my feet and striking the universal pose for, "Hey, hold on there buddy!" I described in detail the human origins of the now deadly (not at all paper on cardboard and two dimensional) space-forged steal and super technology battle ready Reulek! I could hear the gears turning as it accessed long retired memory banks to suddenly realize that today, March the 15th (because my warehouse exists in a time rift so that it is the same time as Germany), was the Reulek's human originator's birthday! So, in the spirit of universal birthday good will, I was spared!

Happy Birthday +Dirk Reul!!! May there be many more to come! After all, I still have a lot of Photoshop ideas to do to you. 😉

For brother +Keith Cramer's birthday, I printed and framed the art drawn for him by friends +Mary C. and +Mar Mai. I totally took a video of Keith walking into the office and seeing the artwork, BUT my cell cam crashed and corrupted the video. I tried for an hour, up to and including a hex editor and cutting and pasting bits from a non corrupt file, but to no avail. Sadness. 🙁

However, he was like, "What?! These are awesome! When did you do these? Wow! Hey, you're video taping me?" I said, "Yes." He did a cheesy grin and thumbs up pose, "They are all mine!!!"

Other commentary:

"Hey, low key, Loki… get it?" This followed by both of us admitting we totally did not get the joke the first time around. We just thought Keith as Loki was so awesome that we jumped right over the joke straight to the awesomeness. Literally EVERYBODY else around us got it immediately and were quite giddy that they could poke fun at us. Not like we would ever do that to someone else. 😉

"Nobody else has this!" Keith realizing that he has the only printed and framed versions of his custom birthday art.

"They are both amazing artists!" This followed by us gushing like fan boys.

"You know, they could totally sell stuff like this." We then proceeded to break down costs and potential profit and best ways to market and ship. 😉

+Keith Cramer is 42 today. This was done for his 40th birthday two years ago (pre-G+) but I thought it deserved to see the light of day again!!!

Two main themes to know in this video. (1) Pants. I'm in on it and still a bit fuzzy. I believe one summer at the lake Keith awoke from napping in a common room and just yelled out, "Pants!" Nobody knows why. (2) Zombies. Keith can not stand zombies. They creep him out. So, of course we always bring them up to him.

Other fun facts… I used Fiverr.com to get the movie voice-over, the creepy eyeball dude, and the Latvian guy on public transport. I LOVE the interwebs!!!

Warning. This video contains graphic scenes of Keith dancing. You have been warned.
