Reboot?!?!  What?  The link says nothing about a reboot, it's about the new series.

A reboot would have all new actors and scripts starting from the beginning.    And without Rob Grant, would probably just suck (Naylor is clever, and can come up with good situations, but without Grant the writing falls flat more often than not.)

+Karl Stevens Point taken… but I think the term still works for a restart. When I reboot a computer, it's not all new parts and software, but it may have been off for quite some time and I'm starting it back up again.

For your computer analogy, it may have been off for some time, or it may not have been off at all (just reset).   If the term reboot works for this, then every series made was a reboot (it was off for the better part of a year) – in fact, you could use the term "reboot" to describe every new movie of every franchise – and the term loses all meaning.

A reboot is a fresh start, with a new continuity.  This is not a reboot.
