My thoughts? Like everything, communication communication communication with your children folks; and, pay attention. I'm lucky that I will always be tech savvy by nature of my jobs and hobbies. For non tech parents, I definitely recommend some crash courses in what's available in the digital world. I hate when I hear about parents just banning the internet from kids or just trying to lock it down. I view such "solutions" like trying to hold water with your bare hands. Right along with communication, education for both parents and children, on any topic, is key.

Absolutely agree… so many ignorant parents that just ban stuff. You want to protect your children, then learn about social media and in turn teach them about the right way to approach social media.
