  1. Bob Mulholland says:

To make it happen we +1, Comment and Share, right? 😉

  2. Dan Soto says:

+Bob Mulholland yeah but posts that beg me to "comment, plus and share" usiually result in "uncircle and never see such whining again" ..lol

  3. Scott Cramer says:

+Dan Soto Agreed. Just for the record, that's not what I was up to! 😉

  4. Amanda Blain says:

meh… its more uh oh… let the spam flagging and blocking begin.. 🙂

  5. Scott Cramer says:

+Dan Soto +Amanda Blain Edited original post – didn't want it to be mistaken! That was not the intent. I just saw Lucille Ball on an image search and thought it would be humorous. Nothing more.

  6. Amanda Blain says:

oh.. no no.. when your on what's hot.. there is constant spam .. flag.. block… thats what i meant.. heeh 😀

  7. Scott Cramer says:

+Amanda Blain Whew. Thought I'd made a faux pas! 😉

  8. Dan Soto says:

+Scott Cramer or you can keep resharing your posts to gain more exposure ( like you just did ) lol…

  9. Scott Cramer says:

+Dan Soto Lol, sigh. Was trying to up the ante and pull in some interaction with Allen Simpson, who actually danced Divinyls in a coffee shop. Faux Pas on reshare? Man, rough night.

  10. Dan Soto says:

+Scott Cramer lol…well, considering it was less than 4 hours since the original, I'd say yeah..a bit extreme. If the goal was to engage someone else just make a comment on the original post and tag him ….. or you can use the +matthew rappaport method and tag 59 people per post.

  11. Scott Cramer says:

+Dan Soto Duly noted (and removed). Wasn't paying close attention. One monitor G+, one monitor what I'm supposed to be doing to earn a living. 😉

I think I should progress slowly to the Matthew Rappaport method. One does not become a G+ ninja overnight. lol

  12. Dan Soto says:

oh chyt…I think my plan just backfired

  13. matthew rappaport says:

Awww haha … 1st Being on What's Hot is soooo a +G+ Achievement Unlocked, +Scott Cramer! Of course people love being on it and even being tops .. have thousands of G+ers interact with it mostly b/c it's on the list.. and less b/c they checked it out or thought it was crazy cool.. maybe 50/50/50 did and most of them in the beginning or near the end..
It's still nice and helps people find you & others whom need to be found more out of the 50+ million.. for now the What's hot is a way to find some people that aren't on the Suggested User List..

As far my "methods" go and the millions I have… depends on how I feel and what the post, content and context is. I go with how I feel and am cool with +Dan Soto suggesting it be named for me.. I'd think +Cliff Roth might want to jump in on giving me the +mention title (ya could always just use +Schemer for that one). The crossout strikethrough guy was ala +Dan Soto as being my thing.. It's all part of it…

+Scott Cramer you do what you want to do.. people will respond how they respond… but remember this..
Any single time you do +mention someone, they will receive more attention and some of them that post their follower counts… might suggest you're nuts for doing anything like that or hate that you do that… but they were happy to have more followers… so in the end, everyone wins and some of us just take more crap from people that enjoy that sorta shenanigans.

Your post is humorous and +Michael Mozart some people do get like that.. All LUCY about the list, some get like that with their followers, if +Chris Pirillo or +Alyssa Milano reshares their post, if +Vic Gundotra joins their hangout, if +Secret Santa sends them something… etc. It's nice to be happy, excited and surprised .. +That's What She Said

+Having said that Congrats again on your +G+ Achievement Unlocked and If Alex is reading this… I have 1 thing to say to you: +Suck it, Trebek!

  14. Scott Cramer says:

+matthew rappaport As always I am astounded, amazed, and not more than a little off-balance after your fine words. 🙂

  15. Scott Cramer says:

    p.s., +Dan Soto I understand now, your commen, I think. 🙂

  16. Cliff Roth says:

I actually enjoy when +matthew rappaport +mentions me in a comment, it brings my attention to a thread I might otherwise have missed. It's when he plus mentions a bunch of people unrelated to a post he is making that doesn't make sense to me. That being said cross pollination is great.

  17. Scott Cramer says:

+Cliff Roth Hello, long time no bump into. I'm not exactly sure how I ended up from trying to make a funny about Lucille Ball and G+ to where the comments went on this one. However, it is what I enjoy about G+. lol

Hope the kittens are doing well. 🙂

  18. matthew rappaport says:

Glad you do +Scott Cramer ..I gave you the demonstration of how to do it one way.. the other way that neither +Cliff Roth and definitely +Dan Soto doesn't understand..

Usually I tag a group of people that like what the post is about so they see it.. some people choose to do that in the comments.. i've done it in both.

If we are playing say a beetlejuice tag game or before sharing circles.. I wanted to recommend a bunch of people.. then it is useful to +mention a lot of people. Also there are times when an inside joke or a G+ joke is not apparent to all as far as the connection but the post is enjoyable.. so I don't feel the need to alter it… and I like that people will get attention. In the end, everyone wins and thinking +mention ing outside the box ..ain't such a bad thing.

+mention explanantion means another +G+ Achievement Unlocked
    HUZZAH! +Festivus is almost here!!

  19. Cliff Roth says:

+matthew rappaport the reason I have you circled is because I like your posts. That doesn't mean I need to be notified about individual ones unless it pertains to me specifically. It almost becomes like the boy who cried wolf. Not that I don't find these things interesting, I do, which is why I have you circled and look at your page periodically.

  20. matthew rappaport says:

haha well it's not on purpose +Cliff Roth … I follow you cause I heard about your +HIRL skills and ability to do things with speed 🙂 No I like many things about a lot of people I've circled.

Sometimes I wonder about what gets to people's notifications and what doesnt… sometimes people get one or they dont or it's full & buried or there are notification errors.. so either way, I dont think about it too much.. People can tell me when it's overkill.. some people have said no tag me ..those people don't get tagged anymore. Easy… 🙂

So more importantly … how do I get you to help me complete this scheme:
    +Scott Cramer .. +Mike Searle,+Tiffany Henry, & +Bobbi Jo Woods know it.. https://plus.google.com/111048918866742956374/posts/d7U1oErns68

  21. Mike Searle says:

I'm with +Cliff Roth on this one. I think it makes sense to tag someone on a post that you think will be interesting to them, or even just as an inside joke, but that doesn't mean they will necessarily participate in the thread or reciprocate.

I see a good number of mentions from +matthew rappaport, but a lot of times I choose not to participate in the thread because I don't have any particular interest in the discussion and I don't want my notifications to blow up.

Other times I think it's a conversation that I want to join, and I'll add my two cents (like this time).

  22. Cliff Roth says:

+matthew rappaport I figured we would do it during our 'conversation'

  23. Amanda Blain says:

I think +matthew rappaport random mention of people like he just did up there is annoying and rude… why notify if the post has no relevance to me at all in the slightest.. beyond him making a funny point using people like .. alyssa milano , vic or secret santa… it is basically spam clogging up notifications… and making them spend time on something that is not important at all. None of those people needed to get a notify about this post. It also makes me likely to ignore when the post WOULD be relevant because of this. "boy who cried wolf" like +Cliff Roth said.

  24. Scott Cramer says:

    <cheeky monkey>
    +Dan Soto +Amanda Blain +matthew rappaport +Cliff Roth +Mike Searle

    </cheeky monkey>

  25. Amanda Blain says:

Sorry +Scott Cramer … i just did my number 2 pet peeve on google plus.. taking a stream about funny graphics and turning it into a personal discussion board.

  26. matthew rappaport says:

    Awesome +Cliff Roth 🙂 I know..just being me hehe
Haha +Amanda Blain …I hear what you're saying but fun and funny rock..
not everything is going to win for everyone.. and if people want to post links of places I tagged them..where they didnt participate and were annoyed.. I'm ready to stand trial , your honors :)~ [I've brought more people into and aware of things they would've missed than the opposite.. I get the tag games are not fun but +Dan Soto started BEETLEJUICE TAG lmao.. but +1'd your comment about my tagging habits.

Also the only people +mention ed above that werent already here or me/my page.. was the alyssa/vic/secret santa.. and cliff whom i brought in since he will raise money for my wrist surgery for my taggin habits hehe. It really isnt as insane as it seems… adding media to social media works for me! 🙂

How do you know what the relevance is +Amanda Blain to anyone…
Also when I tag people.. usually they want attention and since day 1 I've been doing it and I guarantee it's helped people follow everyone in this thread.. so I see it as supporting people too.. which is not rude or annoying but winning.

  27. Keith Cramer says:

I think we just need to get down to the point of the whole conversation…exactly where did Alyssa Milano go?

  28. Rebecca Sinclair says:

I can honestly say two things. First, it's fun to blindly stumble into a conversation like this halfway in and not know what the ahem! hell is going on. And second, if you're still looking for Alyssa Milano, she's over there, curled up in a fetal position, shivering, on the floor in the corner, repeatedly muttering something that sounds like, "No more tagging. Please, God, no more tagging!

  29. Keith Cramer says:

+Rebecca Sinclair Ah, in that case…

    +Alyssa Milano

    woo hahaha.

  30. Scott Cramer says:

Oh no +matthew rappaport now you have infected +Keith Cramer. Although, he has a point, where did +Alyssa Milano go? +Rebecca Sinclair has most likely solved it. Did I mention +Alyssa Milano? I wasn't sure I mentioned +Alyssa Milano.

+Laurie Morrison perhaps has a theory? Or +Jaz Emminger perhaps has an animated gif explanation of her whereabouts? I blame +William Shatner; I heard he did away with +Princess Leia . +George Takei said so.

All I ever tried to do was post a silly, not all that funny, jpeg. I have learned much.

  31. Laurie Morrison says:

+Scott Cramer Do I have a theory on this? No, not really, but I WILL tell you that I DID think it was funny and I think that some just way over thinking things like this, but then that's just me. I don't have 10's of thousands of people tagging me, so perhaps that's why I have a bit of a different perspective. btw–Good Morning!

  32. Scott Cramer says:

+Laurie Morrison Thanks for joining the randomness! lol Good morning to you too! 😉
