Disclaimer

I love Star Wars and LEGO and anything with bacon in it. Sorry vegetarians.

I own a small business and have nothing against making money. Hopefully lots of money.

I walk around singing Gotye, KISS, Johnny Cash, and Carly Rae Jepsen in the same hour.

I uphold your right to think different than me and to vote different than me.

I enjoy geeking out with you about Game of Thrones and Walking Dead.

I respect you as a person who has a reason to live by a different philosophy or theology.

I promise not to post spoilers before you see the latest episode of Breaking Bad. Or Grey's Anatomy.

I can talk with you about politics and social programs without going all "Leave Britney Alone!" on you.

I teared up at the Titanic movie and lie about not liking that Celine song.

I believe in a woman's right to choose and anyone's right to love who they love.

I lost a Sister to a car accident, my Father to medical complications, and my Mother to cancer. Sister (http://goo.gl/nMs54), Father (http://goo.gl/aBrvJ), Mother (http://goo.gl/afQUu).

I do not have any health insurance. I worry about it a lot.

I miss Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Xena, and Hercules. I used to record them on VHS.

I think corporations are bricks and paper, not flesh and blood.

I quoted "Whassup" from the Budweiser commercials as the first word from me to my newborn daughter.

I want to get the money out of politics. "Will of the People" not the lobbyists.

I try to practice what I preach but I screw up sometimes. Call me out and I apologize.

I am a left leaning liberal with socialist views. According to my beliefs.

I also call myself a Trekkie and a Whovian. "Geek" is on my license plate (http://goo.gl/PJ7RZ).

I believe we are all in this together. Let's be the 100%.

Great post! Nice to meet you. 🙂

  2. Lori Dunn says:

Oh, +Scott Cramer , move to Canada. We love geeks, and  'allow' our gays to marry…I'm an atheist whose best friend is a Presbyterian minister, and I have really good health care. We'll take you in, you and your business!

  3. Emilio Boronali says:

SO Sweet! … Err sorry! I thought I was commenting on the nearby pic of that lovely puppy!

Just kiddin' !  I'm with you "bro" 95% (because you forgot to talk about having a good & fresh beer form time to time…)

  4. Dirk Reul says:

Well said Scott and I am glad to have met you on here.

  5. Scott Cramer says:

Thanks guys 🙂 I was reading a reply to a comment by someone with different beliefs than mine on another post and it just struck me how he thought I was some kind of alien. Mostly, I think we'd geek out to all the same stuff, but because of politics I am now some horrible person and all my Star Wars figures sitting around the living room suddenly are tainted to him.

  6. Scott D says:

Well said, sir. Well said. And, On many of those Items…we are in lock step.

  7. Dirk Reul says:

O_o uhm okay. I really lack the understanding of how a person has to be wired to come up with something like this. A lot of my friends on here have beliefs or ideas that differ widely from my own, that does not mean I cannot be social and friendly with almost everyone.

  8. Scott Cramer says:

    +Dirk Reul I agree.

  9. Jim Gomes says:

    True. True.

  10. Jamie Fellrath says:

Love it.  You pretty much just described me, too.  'Cept for the Star Wars bit…sad to say I'm getting tired of Star Wars.

  11. Helena Bertinelli says:

    You sing…Carly Ray? Oh god…

  12. Suzy Shively says:

I agree – this is well said! I too, walk the same walk as you (with a few exceptions – Game of Thrones, Walking Dead?? you got me on those). What I love the most about G+ is that we can all live in harmony here. We can share who we are and what our passions are and with an open heart and mind maybe even learn a new passion or two. Thank you for sharing!

PS – I too have no health care and worry about it all the time.

  13. Scott D says:

My politics differ slightly. Maybe it's age. But everyday I grow a bit more socially liberal. Every voting season I take the Libertarian test…and every year I get closer and closer to being 100%.

I'm sure we probably differ theologically as well. But, I have an open mind and enjoy open and honest discussion.

  14. Theo Von Druessel says:

Gotye?? Nooooo… say it isn't so!

  15. Scott Cramer says:

+Theo Von Druessel I was more worried about Carly Rae Jepsen. ;–)

  16. Debra Clayton-Curtis says:

Wonderful to meet you +Scott Cramer !!!  Very nicely said…so nice to see someone who is tolerant of a difference in political views…I too bite my tongue…but most importantly THANK YOU for sharing who you are…so very refreshing!!!

  17. Scott Cramer says:

I still get passionate about my beliefs and come off a little strong sometimes… or think I'm being funny and I'm not. Like I said, I screw up, but I try. I figure if people do not want to have me floating about their circles, they might as well know sooner rather than later so I just put it out there. A nice reward is I meet a lot of really great people who, even if they don't have the same beliefs, respect my views and come out and play. 🙂

  18. Debra Clayton-Curtis says:

Respect..  +Scott Cramer  is the name of the game!  I'm not as out there as others…I post very rarely….and comment now and then…but +1 when I agree with posts/comments!  Thanks again for your share 🙂

  19. Theo Von Druessel says:

You seem to be an OK guy, +Scott Cramer.  I won't let your Gotye predilection affect anything!  8>)

  20. Mellie B says:

    you're a gem +Scott Cramer <3

  21. Kyla Myers says:

Thanks for the compilation on all the reasons I <3 you!
