+Kristi Fahlsing showed up and owns a Samsung Note tablet. I don't own a tablet. Boo. I have screen envy from my little cell phone. Any personal experiences with the Note?

Couple friends of mine have it and it's awesome. I love my S2 but I'd consider a Note for my next phone for sure.

I have no smartphone or tablet.
I will now sit here and sharpen my virtual claws and await someone to deem me insufficiently geeky for that.
PS I am using a retrofitted sonic Force-powered Ferengi tooth sharpener to do that, which is crossing the streams so hard that it's possible nobody will even be able to get near me without being trapped in a multi-reference rift.

Better have big pockets if you get the Note. Personally, I'd go with a Galaxy sized phone, and then jump to a Nexus 7. Of course, I'm on a Asus Transformer Infinity right now. Rooted and custom ROM'd, of course!

The Note fits in khakis, and it fits even better in my cargo pants, so I'm happy 😛

+Galen Hussey are you sure you're happy, or is that your Note?

I'm not sure, but the AMOLED screen is so bright they might as well call me "Old Gregg"

I live pretty much with my TF2 glued to me. Showers are a bit tricky.

I only wear combat/cargo pants so I've never had a problem with carrying the Note.
The biggest problem is trying to use someone else's phone after getting used to it – my old DesireHD feels small and a Desire feels tiny !
No problems with battery life – I get a full 8am – 11pm day on a charge with Bluetooth on.
Reading books, watching video, playing games – nothing beats screen size.

Is the Note a name for a tablet and a phone?

Honestly…the note sits in that new category some folks are calling a phablet. Too big to really be considered a phone…but not quite big enough to be an actual tablet.

Hm. What she showed me is definitely tablet sized and has no phone…

You know, +Scott Cramer I was thinking you meant the Note II smartphone and forgot that Samsung had just released the Note 10.1 tab. My bad.

The full sized tablet is generally referred to as the Galaxy Tab. Not to be confused with the Apple Mr. Pibb. Unless you're a greedy Apple lawyer.

Yes, +Scott D, it's a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. I think it's pretty neat so far.

+Kristi Fahlsing nice. Looks like the Note 10.1 is an upgraded Tab 10.1 without 3G or 4G connectivity. Wifi only, which is the way I prefer it. If I need roaming data access, I turn my phone into a hot spot.
