This last night while waiting for the fries to finish baking. 😉
For each pound of browned and drained hamburger, approximately a quarter cup of brown sugar (sweetness), a nice long squeeze of ketchup (quarter to third of a cup?) (tangy), and a lesser squeeze of mustard (bite). Add more of each to your personal tastes.
Get good buns; why skimp on bleached out little fall apart ones? Top with pickles; I like a zesty bread and butter and +Kristi Fahlsing prefers a dill.
Enjoy!

Is that meat?
So, I actually didn't know this one. 🙂
I guess it makes quite a mess when eating, hence the name?
+Sarah dep Yup, it's the Sloppy Joe hamburger in the skillet on warm; I just shaped it with the wooden spoon because, well, it's what I do. 😉
+Dirk Reul Totally. Less sloppy if you use a big bun and don't over fill. Kristi still uses a fork, though. Wuss!
+Keith Cramer and I grew up on this recipe; this was a regular by our Mom.
Pah, she needs to uhm,. no I am not going to say it waves to Kristi
Okay, I shall have to make one. Big buns are always a problem here in Germany, we just don't make that many giant burgers 😛
It's more than a sandwich, it's a meal! 😀
+Bud Hoffman If fate puts you in Fort Wayne today, there will be left overs in the office. 😉
I tried to give a valentine that looked like this once. (metaphorically)
Love sloppy joes!
Quite tasty they are!
waves back Hi +Dirk Reul
whistles the tune "I like big bunz…I cannot lie…"
Turn Kristi into Yoda, Sloppy Joes apparently do. 😉
Thanks, +Scott Cramer I'll remember that! :o)
