I think this is a more realistic costume even for present day. 😉

Amazing… ehehehehehhe
I like how the leather 'armor' portion of the outfit is stitched together with flexible spidy-webbing, to give it both strength and flexibility.
Interesting concepts, but the weight would hinder his acrobatics, wouldnt it?
Nice!
Depends on the weight of leather used. Â I've worn some leather armors that were quite restrictive and heavy, but others that were both light and capable of deflecting a blow.
I'd use a slightly lighter cut of leather than for a sole and then wax-boil it for added protection. Â Won't stop a bullet, but a knife slash or a punch would be rendered non-damaging without adding to the overall weight.
For the canvas parts of the outfit, I'm assuming a light garment grade 'firehose' weave, sometimes called chinese canvas.
I'm actually considering what it would take to hand-craft this outfit and it's not all that much compared to a batman or boba fett.
I'm ready for a Spiderman Noir movie.
+Donal von Griffyn I like the way you think. If you move forward and make one, I so want updates!
+Sean Martin I was going to answer along the lines of Spidey's super strength. Don hit directly on the costume, so even better!
+Gran Dan I second the motion!
So, basically Watchmen style.
Hoping to see this movie today..
