Just happened to look at the windshield reminder sticker and odometer at lunch. Dang. Guess it's time.
p.s., yes I know I need to dust my car 😉

HA! Wow… I think i'm about 12,000mi past due.
Synthetic, FTW?
I balked because of cost. Need to look at it more; I'm not very knowledgeable on it.
Synthetic wins, hands down. It last longer, and is more stable at different temperatures than conventional dino-juice. It can also have a conditioning effect on the engine components (depends on the brand, quality, etc.). You can get more mileage out of synthetic, and you'll actually be wasting money if you change synthetic on a 3,000mi schedule.
It does break down eventually, however, and I would NEVER recommend anyone driving on a single synthetic change as long as i have. I'm dumb; don't you be dumb too.
Put it this way – I've drove my Jeep from OR to Austin 9 months ago, and many daytrips since then, and my engine doesn't feel any worse for wear. We'll see how boastful i am in the long run…
+Gainen Parsons Thanks for the info! I know I'm not going to do anything until January… 😉 Definitely going to ask some questions. Will ask +Charles Samples what he thinks — does some work for me on cars.
Definitely ask someone wiser! I'm just speaking from my experience.
Otherwise, enjoy the drive!
